The charm of timeless timber.

Graino Paulownia Shutters

Graino shutters are brushed Paulownia hardwood left with its natural grain on show, whether finished in a rich stain or a painted tone that still lets the texture through. Made to measure for heritage homes, cottages and living rooms, Graino brings the warmth of real timber to every window.

Our Graino paulownia shutters showcase the natural grain and texture of real timber

Unlike a smoothly painted finish, Graino is brushed to bring out the natural character of the Paulownia beneath — visible grain, tactile texture and the kind of depth that only comes from real wood, not a print or laminate.

Each panel carries its own natural markings, so no two sets of Graino shutters are ever quite identical, giving every room a genuinely bespoke, handcrafted feel.

Warmth, insulation and lasting stability

Paulownia's natural cellular structure gives Graino shutters excellent thermal insulating properties, helping to keep rooms comfortable through the year while adding a layer of texture and warmth that painted composites can't match.

The timber is also naturally stable, resisting the warping and twisting that can affect other hardwoods as temperatures and humidity shift with the seasons, so your shutters stay straight and true for years.

5-year warranty

We understand that investing in plantation shutters is a big decision, and we want our clients to feel confident in their purchase. That's why we back every set of Graino paulownia shutters with a 5-year warranty, covering any defects in materials or workmanship so your investment is protected.

If any issues arise within the warranty period, our team will work quickly to repair or replace the affected shutter(s) at no cost to you. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to your complete satisfaction.

Made to measure, professionally fitted

Every Graino shutter is made to measure for your exact window, following a free, no-obligation home survey to confirm sizes, stains and finish — including our oak, walnut and teak stains, or a painted finish that still lets the grain show through. Because each set is built to order, typical UK lead times run to around 10-12 weeks, subject to survey.

Installation is included in your quote and carried out by our own professional fitting team, so there's nothing extra to arrange and nothing left for you to do beyond choosing your finish.

No hidden fees

We understand that purchasing plantation shutters can be a significant investment, and the last thing we want is for our clients to be surprised by hidden fees or unexpected expenses. That's why we make it our policy to be completely transparent about our pricing and to never charge our clients any hidden fees.

Free installation is included in the quoted price of every Graino paulownia shutter, along with your home survey and made-to-measure manufacturing, so the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
