Natural wood, reinforced for life

Endura ABS Paulownia Shutters

Endura shutters start with genuine paulownia — a naturally lightweight, stable hardwood prized for shutter-making — then wrap each louvre and frame in a resilient ABS coating. The result keeps the warmth and grain of real wood while standing up to the humidity and temperature swings that cause solid wood to warp, crack or fade over time.

Our Endura shutters combine genuine paulownia wood with a protective ABS coating

Paulownia is a fast-growing hardwood valued by shutter makers for being remarkably light without sacrificing strength, and for staying straight and stable once it's cut and shaped — unlike many timbers, it resists the warping and twisting that comes with changes in humidity. That stability makes it an excellent core material for a shutter louvre that needs to open and close smoothly for years.

We then wrap that paulownia core in a durable ABS coating, sealing in the timber and adding a layer of protection against moisture, scuffing and everyday wear. You get the genuine wood grain and weight of a timber shutter, with a finish that's far more forgiving to live with.

Durability

Solid wood shutters look wonderful when new, but painted and stained timber can crack, fade or peel over time, particularly in rooms with changing humidity such as kitchens and bathrooms. The ABS coating on our Endura shutters forms a tough, consistent barrier over the paulownia core, so the surface resists the everyday knocks, moisture and sunlight exposure that solid wood struggles with.

Because the coating protects the timber underneath, Endura shutters keep their colour and finish for longer and need none of the periodic resealing or repainting that solid wood shutters typically require.

Fast shipping and an excellent price

At our company, we pride ourselves on offering our clients the best value for their money. We manufacture our Endura ABS paulownia shutters in our own factory located in Romania, which allows us to maintain complete control over the manufacturing process and ensure that our products are of the highest quality.

The advantage of manufacturing our shutters in Romania is that we can offer our clients fast shipping times, with new shutters arriving sooner than products sourced from further afield. And because we manufacture in-house and sell directly to our clients, we can cut out the middleman and pass the savings on, so you enjoy genuine paulownia wood at a price that's competitive with painted softwood alternatives.

No hidden fees

We understand that purchasing plantation shutters can be a significant investment, and the last thing we want is for our clients to be surprised by hidden fees or unexpected expenses. That's why we make it our policy to be completely transparent about our pricing and to never charge our clients any hidden fees.

We include everything needed for installation in the quoted price of our ABS paulownia shutters. Our skilled fitters are fully prepared for your order, and there is no need to arrange for a separate installer or pay additional fees for installation.
Our Terms and Conditions

Built for every space, indoors and out

Because the ABS coating makes Endura shutters far more resistant to moisture than solid wood, they're just as at home in a steamy bathroom or busy kitchen as they are in a bedroom or living room — a combination genuine solid wood shutters usually can't offer. The adjustable louvres give you the same control over light and privacy as our other ranges, in a finish that suits both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Whether you're shuttering a single window or an entire house, Endura brings the natural warmth of paulownia wood to every room, including the ones where solid wood normally can't go.
