Ealing

More than 340,000 people live in this London borough, which includes the towns of Acton, Ealing itself, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall. The borough is known as ‘the Queen of the Suburbs’ because of its large number of parks and tree-lined streets. It is also synonymous with the British film industry, particularly comedies, and the studios in Ealing Green are still in use today for TV shows as well as movies.
Ealing has a mix of homes, built-up areas such as Acton have plenty of flats and terraced housing, while greener, more spacious parts of the borough mean larger detached properties, but higher asking prices.

Hammersmith and Fulham

This is an inner borough which has a population of around 185,000. It is famous for being home to three leading London football clubs, Chelsea, Fulham and Queen’s Park Rangers, as well as the Apollo Theatre, one of the capital’s leading venues for music and comedy.
It is one of the more expensive boroughs to live in, particularly the Edwardian and Victorian townhouses in Fulham and Parsons Green. Richmond Upon Thames

With a population just under 200,000, this South West London borough includes the towns of Barnes, East Sheen, Mortlake, Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington and Hampton. Twickenham is the home of English rugby union. The borough also contains the world-famous Kew Gardens and Richmond Park.
